Darkroom Notes
Notes from printing black-and-white film at home: what worked, what did not, and the numbers I keep forgetting.
Recent notes
- Why I still make contact sheets
A whole roll on one sheet of paper is the fastest way to see what went wrong. - Paper grades, in plain words
Grade is contrast. Start at 2, move one step at a time, and change only one thing per print. - Developing film in a small bathroom
A changing bag, two tanks and a thermometer. Everything else is optional.
